Veater Family Portraits

UPDATE: Here's the slide show you've all been waiting for!

You can also check out the full version here: http://richimaging.net/Slideshow/VeaterFamilySession/

On Sunday night I met up with a great family for some family photos. Steven, Ashley, and Kirsten met me at Picnic Point Park in Mukilteo. I took a few moments to warm up to Kirsten (or was it the other way around? :) and then we headed off to get started. Here are a few shots from our session:

Kirsten was such a patient little girl during our session, especially considering that we ended up cutting into her bedtime by a few minutes! Ashley & Steven, thanks for meeting me for the session and I really hope you enjoy your pictures!
Check out the link at the top of the post for the slide show!

Cheers,

Taiyo's Senior Session

*********

"Are you here for senior pictures?", the stranger asked assertively.
"If you're Taiyo I am." Sure enough, this was Taiyo and his older sister Emi. This was the first time we'd ever met. And, since neither of us had ever been to Gasworks Park before, we decided to familiarize ourselves with its environment. After meandering about the place for a few minutes we commenced our session, eventually being serenaded by the marching band practicing on the other side of the park. It was almost like a sound track for our session... Almost.

At any rate, we had fun and got to know each other a bit in the mean time. I found out that we are both from families of seven. Well, ok... I have seven people in my family and Taiyo and Emi have seven in theirs. Seven kids, that is. I suppose that's close enough. :) I also found out that Taiyo is in student government and is taking on a role this year with more responsibility and much more commitment than the one he was in last year. Very cool.

Something else I picked up on is that Emi loves photography... which came in really handy 'cause, as it turned out, I was in need of an assistant. Thanks, Emi! You did great!

I suppose that's enough background... Let's see some photos!

Taiyo, it was a lot of fun hanging out with you and Emi yesterday. I hope you and your family like this taste of the images we created.
Emi, thanks for being such a willing impromptu assistant. :0)

Ryder's 1-Year-Old Session

UPDATE! - Here's a small version of Ryder's slide show. If you want to see the full size version (and I know you do!) you can catch it by clicking here: http://www.richimaging.net/Slideshow/RyderOneYearSession/

So, I have to admit, I'm really starting to enjoy working with babies! This past Sunday I had a 1-year session with Ryder and his parents, Ross & Mindi. The sun was out, the beach was clear, and there was a slight breeze to top it all off. It doesn't get any better than that! ...Especially when you've got such a cute kid to have fun with!

Here are a few of the shots we made of Ryder down at the beach. Believe me, it was not easy to single these out! He also seemed to be quite at home, which really made things go so smoothly:

I think it's safe to say that Ryder was having just as much fun as his parents and I were!
Here's Ryder giving a look that has just a hint of dapper, plus a little tongue :)See how proud he looks standing all by himself!
Mindi & Ross, I really had a great time with you and Ryder. He's such a handsome little guy! I know he will be a blessing as he grows with you in your loving home.

Cheers,
-Mark

Seitzler Family Portraits

Today we had a photo session with the Seitzlers. Brian and Shelli have a cute one year old named Madeleine. Although the sky was clouded we got some wonderful shots. Here are a few poses from the day.

I love this shot of Madeleine. She's not really as upset as
it looks, and she's so adorable I couldn't resist posting this one!

Brian & Shelli, we had a lot of fun today and it was a pleasure to meet you. I hope you enjoy your photos!
